Workshops

The workshop provides an introduction to the design, modeling and testing of solar collectors. The usage of solar energy in a residential building using appropriate technologies will be discussed. The course will have practical sessions in the conduct of experiments on solar PV and solar collector experimental set up. The various sessions will be helpful to the students having a course in renewable energy or students interested in doing projects in solar collectors. Hands on training in the usage of equipments will be given in the Renewable energy laboratory. The Laboratory houses solar concentrating collector test rig, flat plate collector test rig, Wind turbine generator with wind generating facility, solar photovoltaic test kit and subsonic wind tunnel.
